Jaco Van Zyl (born 23 February 1979) is a professional golfer from South Africa.
Van Zyl was born in Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal.
He won the South African Amateur Championship in 2000 and also won the Natal Open three times, the Transvaal Open, and the Natal Amateur. He turned pro in 2001, immediately joining the Sunshine Tour. He won his first tournament at the Platinum classic in 2005.
He carded his lowest round of 14 under, 58 at State Mines in 2003. He has since gone on to win 14 times on the Sunshine Tour
Van Zyl played on the US PGA tour in 2007 and on the European Tour from 2011 to 2019.
Van Zyl has represented South Africa at The World Cup of Golf and at the Olympic Games in 2016.
Van Zyls passion is flying, he has his PPL and thoroughly enjoys flying Aerobatics.
